Practical Course in Sugar Confectionery (2 weeks - Intensive Course) PES-609 Seminar abgelaufen

This course offers a comprehensive introduction into the world of sugar confectionery. The participants will get to know the theory behind the products and will learn about the production processes in practice.

This intensive course imparts a broad overview on sugar confectionery products. The participants learn about the ingredients and production techniques. The theoretical knowledge is provided by the technical instructors of the ZDS. During the practical parts the participants produce the products in small groups. Additionally industrial production is demonstrated using the ZDS' pilot machinery. The raw materials are presented in detail with their characteristics; example recipes are provided as well. Furthermore, the schedule of the course allows for including additional topics relevant for the participants.

Who should attend?

All executives, members of management, product development and production staff and purchasing agents who require a theoretical and practical course in modern industrial sugar confectionery technology as well as persons interested to broaden their knowledge in this field.

ZDS diploma
The uniqueness of this course lies in the possibility to obtain not only a certificate of participation, but also a diploma in sugar confectionery technology when passing the written exam. Our diploma is internationally highly recognized. 

COMBINATION: 2-weeks SUGAR CONFECTIONERY + 4-weeks CHOCOLATE & CONFECTIONERY
Booking both courses is beneficial as the ZDS offers a price discount. The course fee for both, sugar confectionery and chocolate/confectionery (6 weeks in total), amounts to 13.653,00 € for non-members and 10.953,00 € for ZDS members. Booking is company not person related so that a company can book both courses with different persons attending the parts.

Accommodation
The price includes accomodation in a centrally located 3-star hotel near the city center of Solingen (single room, incl. breakfast, incl. transfer hotel - ZDS).

Sightseeing/Leisure activities
Upon arrival the ZDS offers information about interesting sightseeing and leisure activities, about public transport, shopping, etc. Furthermore regional leisure trips are organized by the ZDS that can be attended by the participants on voluntary basis.
On the last evening of the course a casual farewell dinner with handing over of the diploma is given for the participants.
