Successful members' meeting of the association ZDS

Members general meeting at the ZDS with the farewell of Mr. Ernst Kammerinke and a warm welcome of Dr. Mario Mundorf as his new successor.

This year's members' meeting of the ZDS association (Zentralfachschule der Deutschen Süßwarenwirtschaft e.V.) took place on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. After a long period of restrictions due to the Corona pandemic, it was gratifying to be able to hold the members' meeting as an attendance event again for the first time.
The agenda included a variety of important topics, including the farewell of Mr. Ernst Kammerinke in his well-deserved retirement. Mr. Kammerinke had been involved with the ZDS for over 14 years as a delegated member of the Federal Association of the German Confectionery Industry (BDSI). In the last legislative period, Mr. Kammerinke was active as the second deputy chairman of the ZDS e.V..
It was with great pleasure that the ZDS e.V. was able to welcome Dr. Mario Mundorf as his new successor at the same time. As of July 2023, Dr. Mundorf will assume the role of delegated member of BDSI on the board of ZDS e.V..
At BDSI, Dr. Mario Mundorf is responsible for the area of labor law and social policy. Furthermore, he will be in charge of the specialist division for branded ice cream and the specialist committee for ice cream raw materials as managing director.
He is very much looking forward to working for the ZDS and will actively support the Central Technical School with strength and conviction.

In 2023, ZDS e.V. has achieved great success in attracting new member companies. For this reason, it was a special pleasure at the members' general meeting to warmly welcome two of the newly acquired companies. Both Unilever from the UK and Haribo from Germany attended the members' meeting for the first time. The presence of these renowned companies underlines the importance and attractiveness of ZDS e.V. as a central platform for a partnership network for the further development of the industry and the importance of education and training of professionals in the confectionery and food sector. With their industry significance, Unilever and Haribo will enrich the network and contribute valuable experience.
The members' general meeting ended with a personal tour of the ZDS by Mr. Andreas Bertram, during which the members were introduced to the all departments with the latest machine technology, as well as being given exciting insights.
